Columbus is a magazine for music lovers.

Somewhere in 2012, the captain woke up from a dream, in which he was told that he should open a Facebook page called 'Columbus' and recommend songs he likes to people. The emphasis, as the name suggests, is on the experience of discovery: good music, which is sometimes far away and sometimes right under our noses, and we just need someone to direct us to it.

Very quickly he was joined by other friends on board, also seafarers for modi battles in the battered music industry, CD sellers who for many days were left without ears to recommend music to them. Posts became longer and more frequent, and the old ship's crew needed more working leads. And so in 2014 more writers came on board, who form the core of the magazine today.
