The Israeli Curators’ Union was established in 2021 to serve as a professional home for curators. With over 200 members in its first year, the union works to promote the fields of art and curating in the spirit of equality, freedom of speech and the independence of curatorial practice.
Union goals:

2. Setting standards and norms for the work and responsibilities of curators.
3. Redressing and regulating the professional, legal and ethical aspects of curatorial work in Israel.
4. Providing legal counseling to curators working in various institutions and organizations.
5. Defending the rights of union members.
6. Promoting public recognition of the cultural significance of curating.
7. Creating a hub for curators marked by professionalism and solidarity, with members sharing knowledge, support, and advice.
8. Outlining and improving labor conditions for freelance and salaried curators.
9. Forming collaborations with other curatorial organizations around the world.
